When I give you the nudge I want you to stop reading, close your eyes and think about your life for a moment. Hasn’t the time passed by so quickly? Isn’t it a little scary to think that it all went by in a blink of an eye? Who are you? How did you become the person that you are today?
You are who you are through a series of choices that were made when you were younger. These were all choices made by you, but the large majority of them would have been made whilst under the influence of society caused by the need to fit into the tribe.
I guess you question the logic behind drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Deep down you know that both of these habits are killing you slowly, but that knowledge isn’t enough to make you quit. Think about that.
You have a diet that is top heavy with sugar, salt and the wrong types of fats. You eat processed foods from the supermarkets and don’t even question what it is you are eating. You drink sugar free drinks just because the label tells you so, but you know deep down that it’s a lie.
You prefer to just sit in front of the television and watch your shows. Crack open that bottle of wine, kick off those shoes and relax. Go on you deserve it. You are grateful that your children have electronic gadgets because you are too tired to play with them anyway. You have no energy. You know you need to exercise, but it’s raining today, and tomorrow it will be too cold.
